The Capitol Records producer CARTER was responsible for signing Tina Turner and finding the songs for an album known as Private Dancer. John played bass on several songs, one of which, “Rock and Roll Widow” was included on the b-side of What’s Love Got To Do With It and was also included as a bonus track on the remastered compilations. Tina was a naturally gifted musical force. During the recording sessions she always sang live with the band and often her pilot vocals often became the keeper.
